susy
graduated in 1968 after studying under Clementine
Ruckstul, a respected teacher of art from England.
She continued her studies in Mexico, the USA,
Canada and throughout Asia, studying many styles
and techniques and finding strong affiliation
with the landscape genre. She established herself
at the Fiesta Americana show and produced several
commissioned pieces for Governor Cossio Vidaurri
of Mexico.
Now
living amongst the beautiful Malvern Hills, her
work has two overriding themes. Her bold passion
for flora and fauna, encouraged by discovering
the wide range of British varieties, is counter-balanced
by the more abstract and thoughtful work that
represents her response to philosophical and emotional
attitudes of every day life.
A
little self-portrait and the numbers 4, 6 and
10 (linked to her first ever painting) can be
found in every piece of Susy’s work, which
is now exhibited & sold all over the world
- particularly in Germany, Mexico and the USA.
